Build Legacies That Last
Our lives and legacies are formed and shaped by the people we touch, the memories we share, and the purpose we serve. At True North Shepherding, our goal is to build impactful and enduring legacies—ones that elevate those closest to us.
By nature, we are builders. Through design, we inspire and elevate those around us. We understand the fine balance and focus needed to align vision with action. Our mission is to accompany you on your legacy journey through personalized sessions as we begin navigating towards your True North.
“Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.”
“From the plain indigo plant comes the vibrant indigo hue”
— Classic Chinese Proverb
OUR PHILOSOPHY
The Chinese idiom, “The indigo hue comes from the indigo plant” succinctly captures the teacher-pupil dynamic that promotes the greatest growth. Just as the brilliant indigo color exceeds the apparent plainness of the plant, we succeed when the student surpasses the teacher. This foundation for mutual growth and development guides us as we work together in designing and building your legacy. Your perspectives and insights guide Dr. Fong regarding how best to protect your legacy.

Legacy protection is a journey designed to bring out the artisan, engineer, and storyteller in us all. Each step in this journey is a story; True North Shepherding will work with you to develop these stories into a legacy.

The name True North Shepherding originates from the combination of two concepts. True North is the direction explorers must locate before embarking on any journey. Without it, they are absolutely lost in adverse conditions. True North is the beacon that shines the brightest when the skies are the darkest. Its position sustains trekkers with the reassurance that each step, no matter how challenging, takes them closer to their destination.
Shepherding means following the example of a shepherd. A shepherd guides and protects; he scouts the path ahead for pitfalls and missteps. He does not rest until his charges arrive safely home. True North Shepherding is not merely a name. It is our pursuit.

No. Although Dr. Fong is a family physician, he will not be offering services that would constitute medical practice as defined and detailed by the Medical Board of California.
However, he will draw upon his experience as a clinician and medical educator, as well as his experience as a husband, father, community volunteer, and middle-age MPH and MBA student.

That will be a discussion point at the first session. Dr. Fong will submit an initial outline for the schedule. He anticipates intervals of one to two weeks between sessions. However, he wants to ensure that you have input and ample time to engage in the process; thus, the schedule will be customized to align with your other commitments.
